Dean Sanner is an Ordained Minister with the Assemblies of God and the Pastor of Discovery Church in North Las Vegas, NV. He has been in ministry since 1983 serving churches in California and Nevada and serving as a sectional presbyter for Southern Nevada (2013-2015/2017-Present). He received his B.S. in ministerial studies from Bethany Bible College, and his M.A. in counseling/psychology from Santa Clara University.
He is licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California and Nevada, and is an AAMFT Approved Clinical Supervisor. He is an adjunct faculty member for Lincoln Christian University, and University of Phoenix where he oversees student counselors in the University Counseling Center. He began volunteering as a Police Chaplain for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department in 2005 when the program was started. He was appointed as the first Lead Police Chaplain in 2017. He oversees 22 Police Chaplains for LVMPD.
Dean relaxes by golfing, fishing and traveling. Dean and his wife Jenell have been married since 1984, have two adult daughters, and their first grandson, Grayson Spivey, was born in 2017.
